The team

John McAslan, who has personal links to Dunoon, is well aware of the challenge posed by the project, and the likely timescales involved, having led his architectural practice – John McAslan + Partners (JMP) – in successful cultural renewals of some of Britain’s most important (but previously troubled) historic buildings, including: Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s Derngate in Northampton, the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill-on-Sea, and the Roundhouse in London. In each case, JMP has been centrally involved in establishing business development plans, consultation processes, fundraising, and appropriate architectural interventions. As the project moves forward so the team will expand to include inputs from specialists in their fields to ensure that a coordinated and integrated project is delivered on time and to budget which achieves its aims and objectives.

The John McAslan Family Trust is committed to restoring the Burgh Hall to its former glory so that it can once again be a key cultural destination for the whole community.
