The Cowal Highland Gathering held in Dunoon in August is the largest and most spectacular Highland gathering in the world. During that week, the Burgh Hall hosted some fantastic events:
'LATEST' with Dunoon Music Project was a smashing success: seven bands took part in a competition held over two consecutive evenings. The Project included a music workshop, a masterclass and live performances. The Hall was filled with a supportive and enthusiastic audience.
The Saturday afternoon Craft Fayre and Entertainment saw 2,000 visitors and 15 stalls in the main Hall selling a variety of wares - from baked goods to brooches. The Clarsach was beautifully played during the afternoon and there was a demonstration by six weavers who sang traditional songs while they worked.
